Matt played the drunk and angry Irish photographer Mac in the first staged production of Sam Giberga's Le Blaireau. Matt also worked as the producer of this show, which premiered at The Tank theater in November of 2025 for a four night run. A frenzied, pagan dance through untamed French wilderness, Le Blaireau asks the hell happens when we allow ourselves to get lost in the woods–and what happens when we finally find ourselves again.
In November of 2025 Matt performed at The Tank in Floorwork Arts Collective's developmental reading of Private Nature by Matti Parone. He played Rob, an uptight, hyper-masculine husband covering up a deep secret about his gender identity. The show is inspired by and based on a real swingers club in Colorado that is also a squirrel sanctuary by day. It deals with themes of suburban America, privilege, ignorance, and generational trauma.
Matt starred as Bray in this production of Mom and Dad Are My Friends, written by his longtime collaborator Curtis Deese. The show went up at The Tank theater in August of 2025 as a part of LimeFest. Matt also directed and produced this show alongside Curtis. The show tackles the uncertainty of young adulthood and what it looks like to really "live your dreams". This is the first of many shows that Matt and Curtis hope to produce together.
Matt performed as Maxwell in Connor Spaulding's new play The Ulysses Protocol at The Tank theater in April of 2025. This was part of an ongoing development of the play with Ghost Light Theater Company. The play centers around the recently arrested Maxwell and his experience with a revolutionary AI therapy program called Ulysses.
At the completion of his time at Rutgers, Matt filmed a scene from Noah Baumbach's Kicking and Screaming for his showcase. The scene is available to watch below and is representative of the kind of witty and complex characters he hopes to continue exploring as his career progresses.
Matt played Chuck in this rambunctious and fantastical adventure-comedy that premiered at Rutgers University in November of 2023. Directed by Delicia Turner Sonnenberg, he unleashed his inner rock star while portraying this ridiculous teenaged Dungeon Master.
A new play by Amanda Horowitz, Matt is excited to have originated the role of Carl at Rutgers University in October of 2023! Inspired by Chekhov's The Seagull and Uncle Vanya, Heavenly Fools is an absurdist meditation on desire, love, loss, and humanity.
Matt was lucky enough to perform as Egeon in Shakespeare's classic on the Globe stage in London. As a part of his 6-month study through Rutgers University, Matt captured audiences in February of 2022 at the iconic arena. Performing on the Globe remains an unparalleled experience for him, and one he hopes to return to.
In October of 2021, Matt starred in Lydia Diamond's play as Brian White directed by Terrence I Mosley. Staged at Rutgers University in a small black box space with only a four person cast, this intimate, passionate, and deeply political work is one of his favorites to date.
